ASPIRE - Employment Pilot Program FAQs

  • What are the benefits to employers?
    Employers gain valuable, pre-screened workers with a portion of wages covered for four weeks.
  • Do employers get to choose the subsidized employment participant?
    Yes. CCAP, Inc. staff will match employer needs with eligible program participants and employers are free to interview and make the selection of their choice.
  • Is there a minimum/maximum wage for the program participants?
    Yes. Program participants must be paid a wage which is equal to what the employer typically pays its workers for doing the same job.
  • Do employers have to pay the health benefits of the participants?
    No.
  • How many hours per week does the participant have to work?
    CCAP, Inc.’s mission is to assist our participants in rising above the poverty level and we feel working a full-time job (40 hours per week) is an important piece in achieving that goal.
  • Does the employer have to keep the participant after the reimbursement period ends?
    Yes. CCAP, Inc. is asking the employer to keep the participant as a full-time employee for at least 6 consecutive calendar months after reimbursement ends.
  • How do employers apply for the program?
    Applying for the program is easy. Employers must complete an application that asks for general information about the business and positions needed to be filled. Approved employers will then have to complete and sign an Independent Contractor-Employment Grant Agreement.
